Methi Matar Malai
INGREDIENTS
2 cups
chopped fenugreek leaves
3/4 cup
boiled green peas
1/4 cup
boiled peas
2 tbsp
boiled onion paste
4 tbsp fresh
tomato puree
1 cup skim
milk
2 tbsp
soaked almond paste
1/2 tsp salt
1tbsp
Saffola oil
1 tsp cumin
seeds
1 tsp garam
masala powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Carefully wash fenugreek leaves and chop them coarsely.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in thick bottomed pan, add cumin seeds, when cumin seeds start to splutter add boiled onion paste to the pan.
- Grind 1/4 cups of boiled peas in Sunflame Mixer grinder to smooth paste.
- Cook for 2 minutes and add fresh tomato puree. Cook the puree and onion paste together for 7-8 minutes on medium heat. Keep stirring in-between to prevent the paste from burning.
- Add almond paste and cook masala paste for 2 more minutes.
- Add boiled peas paste too and cook for a minute.
- Stir in fenugreek /methi leaves and add skim milk and cover the pan with a lid.
- Once milk starts to boil lift the lid let it simmer for 3-4 minutes and serve hot.·
