Methi Matar Malai





INGREDIENTS

2 cups chopped fenugreek leaves
3/4 cup boiled green peas
1/4 cup boiled peas
2 tbsp boiled onion paste
4 tbsp fresh tomato puree
1 cup skim milk
2 tbsp soaked almond paste
1/2 tsp salt
1tbsp Saffola oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp garam masala powder


INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Carefully wash fenugreek leaves and chop them coarsely.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in thick bottomed pan, add cumin seeds, when cumin seeds start to splutter add boiled onion paste to the pan.
  • Grind 1/4 cups of boiled peas in Sunflame Mixer grinder to smooth paste.
  • Cook for 2 minutes and add fresh tomato puree. Cook the puree and onion paste together for 7-8 minutes on medium heat. Keep stirring in-between to prevent the paste from burning.
  • Add almond paste and cook masala paste for 2 more minutes.
  • Add boiled peas paste too and cook for a minute.
  • Stir in fenugreek /methi leaves and add skim milk and cover the pan with a lid.
  • Once milk starts to boil lift the lid let it simmer for 3-4 minutes and serve hot.·
